Logo Design Contest for the Marshall Islands Protected Areas Network (PAN)

The Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority continues to work with traditional leaders, local governments and communities to facilitate the development of resource management plans as part of the Reimaanlok (National Conservation Area Plan) framework, under which communities become responsible for managing their own natural resources. Through commitment and collaboration with partners from the Coastal Management Advisory Council and stakeholders, remarkable progress has been made as we continue to meet current biodiversity challenges and emerging issues such as climate change. In support of the growing number of protected areas throughout the RMI, the national government enacted the Protected Areas Network (PAN) Act 2015 and PAN Amendment Act 2018 that establishes a network of protected areas including a PAN Office and sustainable funding mechanisms to support the protected sites. The network is finally ready to be launched soon. To this end, the PAN Office is preparing for the launching event and wishes to invite everyone with a creative mind to enter a logo design competition.
